Computational fluid dynamics engineer

Primary duties: Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) engineers use numerical simulations and modeling techniques to analyze and optimize fluid flow and heat transfer in various applications, such as aerospace, automotive and energy. CFD engineers often use specialized software tools to simulate complex fluid dynamics phenomena, such as turbulence, multiphase flow and combustion and may attempt to develop solutions to improve product performance and reduce costs. Additionally, they work on the design and optimization of heat exchangers, pumps and other fluid systems.
