Primary duties: Process engineers focus on improving the safety, efficiency and sustainability of processes in various fields, such as oil and gas, chemical, food and beverage and pharmaceuticals. They evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement and develop new processes to increase productivity and reduce costs. In addition, process engineers monitor and troubleshoot production processes, ensuring that they’re running smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
